Our Groups

Our groups run for 12 and 25 weeks and are held in a warm and inviting setting in Brookline. There will be 7-10 members in each group, facilitated by one or two leaders. The texture or each group varies. What all groups have in common is a commitment to providing a safe space for exploration and growth.

Groups being offered are listed below. If you have an interest in any of these groups, go to our confidential information page, check the box next to the title(s), enter your e-mail address and/or phone number, and we will be in touch. Member compatibility will be given special attention.

Aging & Health
Aging Gracefully
Take on your menopause and later years with grace and beauty, radiance and razzle dazzle. Aging provides opportunities for fuller self expression, creativity, growth, and deeper connections. Joining a group helps strengthen your self, broaden your lens on life, and provide the support and balance needed for longevity and happiness. Readings and outside speakers will be added to this wonderful group.

Parenting
The Parent Trap: Feeling Alone with Young Children
Caring for young children can leave you feeling like you're on a treadmill, constantly in motion but never really getting anywhere. Often there is a sense of isolation as the needs of the children take precedence. Participating in a group provides important support, a sense of community, and opportunities to step back from the daily grind to validate your important work

Parenting Adolescents and Keeping Your Self Esteem
During adolescence, our children confront many challenging issues including dating, sex, alcohol, drugs and driving. As parents, we are equally challenged as we rethink our relationship with our blossoming young adults and try to foster greater independence while still setting appropriate limits. Often, we can begin to feel particularly lonely and unsure of ourselves in the face of ever-increasing opposition and resistance.

This group will focus on embracing this difficult but also exciting time in our children’s lives. We will share each other’s strengths, learn from each other’s experiences and gain clarity by recognizing and articulating what our children’s behavior can tell us about ourselves.

Choosing Motherhood Later in Life
Many of us are becoming mothers in our 40's and 50's. Whether we are first-time mothers or choosing to expand our families later in life, we are breaking new ground with this trend. Through the conversations we have in this group, we will start to define what makes parenting at this stage in life unique.
