
Deborah began The Group Center to meet the need for groups that are inviting, constructive, non judgmental and that focus on people's inherent strength and wisdom. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings over the past 30 years including in and out-patient settings, schools, community programs, and private practice.

Peg is a very experienced therapist who specializes in adolescence and female development. After graduating from Harvard, she received her MSW and Ph.D. from Smith College School of Social Work. She has experience in community mental health, out-patient psychiatry, and the schools. Peg lives and practices in Brookline and has school age children.

Beth Wilson is a therapist at Crossroads Counseling in Wellesly with over 20 years of experience. She has extensive training and certification in couples therapy, family treatment, coaching and group therapy. She has facilitated groups at Crossroads, Beth Israel Hospital and in private practice. Beth presents workshops on varied issues, including self-esteem, relationships, parenting, communication, stress and time management. A mother of 3 teenage children, Beth is active in many school programs, anti-racism, gender issues and community prevention.

Fern is both a certified addictions specialist and a certified EMDR therapist. She is experienced with women in transition groups and has been in the field for over 30 years. She is particularly interested in issues of aging and parenting adult children. Fern lives in Cambridge and has 3 of these so-called adult children.

After graduating from the Smith College School for Social Work, Marie worked for the next 14 years at Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals. She then moved on to Framingham State College, where she was the Director of the Counseling Center for 12 years. Currently, she works there as a part-time therapist and also has a private practice. Marie has been an adjunct faculty member at Simmons and Boston College Graduate Schools of Social Work for many years. Her special interests are college mental health, parenting/motherhood, adoption and careers at mid-life. She has a school-age son, two young-adult step-daughters, and lives in Weston.

Margo's specialty is working with people who have sexual abuse and trauma in their background. Having trained at Beth Israel Hospital, she has over 20 years of clinical experience and has led life issues groups. Margo lives in Newton, has grown children, is a tennis competitor, and has a private practice in Brookline.

Betsy has a varied background in communications, counseling, and human developmental psychology. Involved at Wellesley College's Center for Research on Women and the John F. Kennedy School of Government, she has led a variety of groups. She is the mother of three school age children.
